Hello crafty friends, Melinda here with you and today I am sharing my third and final card as a Guest Designer for this month.
Here is my project:
I created this fun snow globe shaped card. It features the fabulous Cuckoo Clock Stamp and Die Set.
I started by stamping and die cutting all of the elements. I colored the cute little house, solider and trees with my Copics. I added some stickles to the top of the roof and ledge to give the “snow” a little sparkle. I have to say those trees and that cute little reindeer and toy soldier stamps were just too cute!
For the globe-background part, I inked the top layer with some blue ink and I used some chalks and some Shimmerz Colder than Ice paint to add some shimmer to the blue.
I then added some clear Nuvo drops to the “shine” cut out to give it some extra flair. I also dotted the background with some more Stickles for some snow. You can also see in this image, I used blue ink for the cute little puffs of smoke and the snowflakes.
For the base, I cut the layers out in red cardstock. I then inked the edges of the three pieces to give them some dimension. For the pretty swirly die cut pieces, I added some Golden Wheat Shimmerz paints to give them a bit of an Antique Gold look.
I added some foam tape to some of the various pieces to give them a little added dimension.
Of course, I had to make this an easel card! I did that by simply folding the top half of the top of the card in half and then adding a matching base to the bottom half of the fold.
I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Village Stamp Set and added a couple of trees. I cut the sentiment from my one of my oval scalloped dies and then added some foam tape to give it enough lift that it would hold the top of the card.
I wish to thank all the wonderful people from Dare 2 B Artzy for allowing me the opportunity to be a Guest Designer and work with their great products. I have so thoroughly enjoyed this! May you all have a wonderful Christmas season and a super crafty new year! Until the next time, have a wonderfully crafty day!
