Happy Sunday, crafty friends! Guest designer, Leslie Turner from Love To Scrap 2, is back with us today to share one last card with us!
Hi everyone! Leslie here to share my final Dare2BArtzy GD inspiration project for the month with you today, a Christmas card using the You’ve Got Mail stamp set, Mailbox Gift Card Holder die and Winter Plaid paper. I’ve had a great time guest designing this month along side the D2BA DT and providing you inspiration! Thank you, ladies!
Okay, since my three previous GD projects this month have all been clean and simple, I created something with lots of distressing and tons of layers… my kind of card, lol! Can’t tell you how much fun this was! I created a card base slightly larger than A2 size (to accommodate the mail box die cut) and distressed the edges. I layered a distressed piece of the Winter Plaid paper on green cardstock, added a piece of crocheted lace and a scalloped border across the bottom, then adhered the entire panel to the card base.
I created the mail box using the die, stamped the sentiment on it, distressed it a bit, and added the flag with a tiny brad. Then I created a tiny envelope with a red heart closure (dies also in the mailbox die set), distressed it and adhered it in the mailbox. I went through my Tim Holtz Idea-ology Festive Ephemera Pack and picked out several pieces to use on this card, and distressed them all. I added a couple poinsettias from the pack to the upper left corner and proceeded to ‘stuff’ the mailbox full of all kinds of fun goodies! The finishing touch was a simple bow on the mail box.
For more details and additional photos, please see my blog post at Love To Scrap 2.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and will link up a creation with us this month! Be sure to check out all the fun stamps, dies, inks and papers at Dare2BArtzy! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Scrappy hugs,
Leslie
