Hi there Artzy family! Have you heard the news? Dare 2B Artzy has a new release! And I must say, it is fabulous! You can check out all of the new goodies here.

I am excited to be using the new stamp set Strawberry Vine. I had a lot of fun practicing some alcohol marker coloring with this image!

For this card, I used the main image in the set. A beautiful vine of strawberries, flowers and leaves. While I used the image on a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ card base, this set actually is perfectly sized for a slimline card.

Since I am always trying to improve my coloring, I watched a strawberry coloring tutorial before I started with my alcohol markers. I used a combination of orange, red and brown for the strawberries and several shades of green for the leaves. I colored up the flowers in a pink (apparently I don’t look at strawberry vines very often!) and then figured out that the flowers are actually white. I’ll keep that information for next time!

After finishing up the coloring, I created a pane using an embossing folder from my stash and added a light green wash to the background. I popped up the strawberry vine with foam and adhered this to the green background.

I trimmed the panel to be a little bit smaller than a card base and added the sweet sentiment.

I completed the card by adding a few enamel dots in green and cream.
