Hello artzy friends… Helen is here. Today, I wanna share a fun and simple technique you can do with D2BA Stencils, stamps, and dies to make this Spring card.
I started with creating the background using Stamping with Stencil technique. I used watercolor paper 140 lbs. I dabbed some dye ink on the Wild Flower Stencil and then sprayed it water lightly. You do not need much water. After that, I put the inked stencil on top the paper and I used paper towel to press it down. The paper towel will absorb the extra water that seep through the stencil.
I removed the stencil and get the first print. I let it sit to dry. To get lighter print, you can dab some of the ink off with paper towel.
As you can see, there was still ink on the stencil, I sprayed it lightly with water again and get couple more prints off that. I ended up with 3 different shades of watercolor printed background.
I cut one of those backgrounds with Rectangle Framelists Dies to use it as the card background. I added on the card with permanent adhesive runner.
Then I stamped the girl image from the Good Vibes Stamp Set with Totally Black Ink Pad. I colored it with alcohol markers and then I cut it with the matching Good Vibes Die. I added it on the card with permanent adhesive glue.
For the sentiment, I stamped in on a white cardstock with Totally Black Ink Pad and then I cut it with one of the banner die from the Slim Mini Wavy Layers Die. I added it below the girl image with permanent adhesive glue.
And I cut black cardstock using the word Hello using the Hello Word Die. I cut it four times and stacked them together with dries-clear adhesive glue. I added it on the card with the same glue.
I hope this card bring some Spring vibes to your day. Thanks for stopping by!
