We just celebrated our daughter’s high school graduation this weekend. We are so proud and very blessed. We had lots of parties to attend and this card was a hit.
I know most of the graduations are done for this year but this is a great “money holder card” idea for next year. Great for high school but don’t forget those elementary graduations as well. I used the “Wise Owl” stamp set and matching “Owl Die Cut”.
TIPS:
1. To get the eyes to pop, I stamped the owl on gold paper and again on white. I used a 1/2″ circle punch to cut out the white eyes. The eyes on most of our owl sets work with either a standard 1/2″ or 5/8″ circle punch so I use this technique often.
2. Roll up your money into a tight roll and wrap a bow around it so it looks like a diploma. Add a little adhesive so it stays on but not too much that it tears the money when they go to take it off. (you could also punch holes in the wing of the owl and thread the string thru so you don’t have tape on the money)
3. To make sure they know the money is real and to be used, you may want to leave a note on the inside like: Spend your gift “Wisely”
4. You could also add a little bling dot to the top of the cap. I forgot to add it to this one but it really looks cute especially for a girl.
Have fun with this one!
Blessings, Cindy
