Hello and happy Monday! It’s Tonya from Krafty Enchantments. I’m back with a fun project with Dare 2B Artzy today. I really enjoyed creating this slimline card. It snowed in Denver so this card was inspired by the snowy weather.
To start my card, I cut down a piece of Canson watercolor paper and created a watercolor background using my Paul Rubens Metallic Watercolors. Once the background was dry I cut it with the amazing new Slimline Snowflake dies. The die is so intricate and pretty however it cut perfectly using my Gemini Jr.
Once it was cut, I set it aside and stamped the other images for my card.
I cannot get enough of the adorable new Just Chillin’ Stamp set. I stamped with some Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink and colored with alcohol inks.
To assemble my card, I used the largest slimline rectangle from the Dare 2B Artzy Wavy Slimline Framlets die set for the base layer. I knew I wanted to create a snowy scene that would have lots of layers.
Using the Slimline Snowflake panel that I cut, I traced it onto a piece of glitter cardstock so that I could cut another solid background to place behind my snowflake panel. This gave the negative snowflakes their sparkle.
Next, I cut a curvy hill from some minty blue-green cardstock using the new Curve Slimline Border die set. A second larger curve was cut from some more of the white glitter cardstock.
All of the different curves and snowflake layers were added to the Slimline Framelets Panel that was cut from some light pink cardstock and attached to a card base made from 110lb cardstock.
Once the layers were in place on the panel, I added the penguins and sledding polar bear to the panel. One penguin was added to a background layer to make it look like he was waving from the hill in the background as his friends passed by on the sled. Off to the far left we have a penguin gliding into the scene on the edge of a snowflake.
It is just so fun to create cards with the adorable Just Chillin’ stamp set. The possibilities are endless.
To finish off my card, I added some additional snowflakes from the slimline snowflake die. I cut the individual snowflake from some glitter cardstock and sponged on some ink onto them in some light purple and pink. I also added a die cut cloud from the Curve Slimline Border die set. I love that this die set has the little extras like the clouds, raindrops and star which make it very versatile. The snowflakes and cloud were added to the background.
Finally I added my sentiment to the card front using some purple embossing powder with the “Dashing through the snow” and the “to wish you” sentiments. I stamped the Happy Holiday’s on the inside of my card panel.
For a finishing touch, I added some gems to the card panel inside the centers of the snowflakes.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. The Dare 2B Artzy products I used for today’s card are linked below.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs
