When I first began cardmaking I thought I was a Copic girl. Then came watercolors and lastly colored pencils. And while I do love all of those mediums, there is something magical and captivating about watercolor. Every time I go back to it, I am enchanted all over again…

To create this card I stamped the D2BA Totally Tracy Renew Your Spirit stamp set 3x across the panel with Versamark on smooth watercolor paper and heat embossed it with white detail powder. Next, I loaded my brush with color and drug the color along the edges of the area I was coloring. Then I came back with clean clear water and drew the color out for a soft blend. I dropped other color in to the wet areas for a bit of interest and highlight.

As the card was drying I created a flag banner and again used heat embossed with white for a standout sentiment. I found a die from my stash with multiple words and trimmed out just the “Love” portion. It was the perfect size! I then topped it with Glossy Accents and once dry, painted “Love” gold. Adhere “Love” to banner and then banner to base with dimensional adhesive.
