Joyful Robin Birthday Shaker

Hi All! Happy Monday!

Hope everyone is having a great day! It’s Tonya and I’m back with another Dare 2B Artzy card. My card today features the Mini Slimline Happy Birthday die and one of the adorable birds from the Joyful Robin stamp set to create a bright, fun Birthday shaker card.

To start, I stamped the smaller Joyful Robin and the 3 flowers in the set with some Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink and colored them with my Copic markers. I die cut them with the coordinating die set and set them aside.

Next, I used the Slim Mini Birthday die set. I cut the background from the floral side of the A Rockin’ Christmas paper. This is such a bright, sunny floral pattern. I thought it would work perfectly for the background on the Happy Birthday shaker. I cut the Happy Birthday from some 110lb white cardstock and ink blended some blue in the center and green on the outer edges. This really helped the die stand out against the floral background. I added a bit of Nuvo Shimmer pen to the front of the panel to add a bit of shimmer to it.

To create the shaker, I repurposed some packaging from some of my Dare 2B Artzy stamps and cut it down a bit. I used some Score-tape to adhere the packaging to the background leaving one of the end flaps open. I added some smaller sequins in bright colors and sealed the end with more Score-Tape.

I added the ink blended Happy Birthday to the front of the shaker panel with some adhesive. The whole shaker panel was added to the largest mini slimline stitched rectangle from the Slim Mini Birthday set which was cut from 110lb white cardstock.

I popped up the Joyful Robin and the 3 flowers on the front of the Happy Birthday with some dimensional foam.

My card panel was added to a mini slimline card base cut from some 110lb cardstock.

I didn’t add any additional embellishments to the front of the card, but I did use the Jelly Roll Stardust pen to add a bit of shimmer to my flowers and the Robin.
