Hi Everyone! Happy Monday! It’s Tonya from Krafty Enchantments. I’m back today with a clean and simple card featuring the Turtley Awesome stamp set.
This stamp set features a couple of cute turtle images paired with an ice cream theme. I think this cute little turtle looks a little bit like he could have been one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Who was it that liked food so much? He just needs a little mask, LOL!
I stamped the turtle holding the ice cream cone, the cute little ice cream cart and the cherries on some 110lb cardstock and colored with my Copic markers.
Once finished, I used the coordinating dies for the stamp set and cut out all of my colored images.
Next, I die cut the 2nd largest stitched rectangle from the Wavy Framelets Slimline Die set from some 110lb cardstock
and the wavy stitched layer was cut using the Sprinkle on Top paper.
Next, using a square die from my stash I cut a square from some scrap cardstock. The square die I used measured 1 ¾ inches. I used the negative space on the square as a stencil. I carefully used a pencil and drew in some squares on the background of the smaller stitched rectangle slimline die so that I could make sure that they would be evenly spaced on the rectangle.
Once my spacing was good, I used the negative square that I cut and ink blended some soft blue ink onto the stitched rectangle. This would help to ground my images. Once I was finished ink blending the square spaces, I erased my pencil lines.
After my ink blending was finished, I used two nesting square dies from my stash to create some square frames from some green foil cardstock and used some liquid glue to adhere them in place.
Finally, I added my turtle, ice cream stand and cherries to the ink blended panel using some dimensional foam.
I layered that onto the Sprinkle on Top paper that I cut with the large Wavy Slimline Framelets die.
I popped the whole background up with some dimensional foam onto a slimline card base make from 110lb cardstock. I stamped the You’re Turtley Awesome on the inside of the card panel.
I added a bit of glossy accents to the cherry’s to give them a nice shiny look and some Wink of Stella glittery accent to the ice cream cart.
This card came together very quickly but I just love how cute it turned out. The Dare 2B Artzy products I used are linked below.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hugs,
Tonya
