Hi everyone! Leslie here to share a Dare2BArtzy DT inspiration project with you today, a pretty Mother’s Day card featuring a couple papers from the absolutely gorgeous In Bloom Collection Paper Pack along with the Flowers for Mom stamp set and Totally Black ink. If you like super fun and easy, then you’ll love this project!
I cut the front flap of the card base shorter using a curved scallop edge die. I layered a piece of Blooms paper on black cardstock and adhered it to the front flap. I cut a length of the striped coordinating strip from the top of the paper (yep, you should keep those!) and two very narrow strips of black cardstock, and set them aside. For the bottom portion under the flap I used a piece of Fields in Bloom paper layered on black cardstock, then adhered the striped and black strips previously cut and set aside.
I purposely cut the Blooms paper so the green flower, which coordinates with the green card base, would be in the center of the panel. I cut a green flower out of another section of leftover Blooms paper and adhered it to plain white cardstock. I trimmed it leaving a small margin of white around the outside of the flower which I colored with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to make it stand out. I adhered several loops of bamboo hemp cord under the extra flower and affixed it with 3-D foam pads over top of the green flower in the center of the card flap. I then added flat-back pearls in various colors to the flowers and the strip across the bottom.
For more details and a peek at the inside of this card, please see my blog post at Love To Scrap 2.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project! Be sure to check out all the fun stamps, dies, inks and papers at Dare2BArtzy! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time!
Scrappy hugs,
Leslie
