Getting a Head Start on Christmas!

Hi!  It’s Melody, and I’m back with two Christmas cards for this beautiful Monday!

I am trying to get started on my Christmas cards so I won’t be scrambling at the last moment!  Raise your hand if you are wanting to get a head start on your Christmas cards, too!

My first card was created with the Holly Christmas Stamp Set and its coordinating dies.

After stamping the images with D2BA’s Totally Black Ink, I colored the images with the following Copic marker combinations: (R14, R24, R37), (YG03, YG17, G99), and (Y04, Y17).

My paper dimensions are listed below:
Floral strip – 2″  x 5 1/2″
Green strips (2) – 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
White strip – 3/4″ x 5 1/2″
White strip – 2 1/4″ x 5 1/2″

I began by stamping my sentiment onto the larger of the two white strips.  Then I adhered one green strip to each of my white strips as shown in the picture.  Next, I adhered the floral strip to the card base making sure it was placed where it would completely cover the space left after adhering the white with green strips.  The white with green strips were adhered to the card base with foam tape to give each section dimension.  The stamped images were then adhered to complete the card.

Besides making Christmas cards, I am also getting a jumpstart on my Christmas gift cards!

I love this mailbox die set.  The mailbox is sized to fit a gift card perfectly!  It would work for some cash, too!
The stamp set that coordinates with this die set makes this the perfect gift card for any occasion!
