Hello hello hello crafty friends! Helen is here and I am super excited to share my very first project as one of the new Dare 2B Artzy Design Team. I made this Fun Fold Bloom Birthday Card today.
For the base card, I cut out a piece of 80 lbs Neenah Solar White cardstock using the Fun Card Fold Die. I folded the card and using bone folder to press the folded parts.
I also cut out one of the bloom patterned paper from the All the Buzz Collection Variety Pack and add the pieces on top of the fun fold base card with permanent adhesive runner. If you like, you can grab only the All A Bloom Paper Pack, too.
Using the Rectangle Fancy Framelit Dies, I cut out the stripe pattern from the left over patterned paper. I added it on top of the middle part of the card with the permanent adhesive runner.
I cut out another piece of the Neenah Solar White cardstock using the smaller size of the Rectangle Fancy Framelit Dies and then using my Mini MISTI, I stamped the birthday sentiment from the Sunshine and Rainbows Stamp Set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad.
A stamping tip: I used purple tape to cover the other words before adding the ink, and I cleaned the stamp after every time I stamped it. This way you can stretch your stamps.
I added the sentiment label on the card with 3D foam tape for extra dimension to it.
Next, I cut out the flowers and leaves from the rest of the bloom paper using the Spring is Blooming Die. I love how we can use the left over paper and not wasting the awkward shape!!! I added the flowers and leaves around the sentiment label with permanent liquid glue.
I love how this card can be mail flat and fit inside a regular A2 envelope. For me, floral card is not only for Spring, it can be for any occasion. What do you think?
