Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you’re having a wonderful day! I’m back today to share another fun card using some new and old Dare 2B Artzy stamps and dies.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m ready for fall! Fall is my absolutely favorite time of the year. I think this year more than ever, I’m really looking forward to the cooler temperatures since we’ve had such a HOT summer. Just this past weekend it was still in the 90’s here in Colorado.
For today’s card, I used a maple leave shaker pack that I received in another kit. I thought it would really pair well with the new fall Dare 2B Artzy line of papers and stamps which are all just adorable!!
To start I used a piece of the Dare 2B Artzy Fall Harvest Collection paper. I love the paper with the little leaf pattern all over it.
I cut the patterned paper to 5 inches x 5 inches. I used a large maple leaf die from my stash to cut the leaf out at an angle on the paper. Next, I made sure that my shaker pouch was going to fit into the die cut space. Next, I used a set of nesting dies from my stash to cut the outline of the leaf to go on the outer edge of my shaker.
Now that my maple leaves were cut, I positioned the piece of die cut Fall Harvest paper over my card base in my MISTI stamping tool and used a sentiment from the Tangle Leaves stamp set. I centered my sentiment so that it would be in the middle of the die cut leaf and stamped it a couple of times using Versamark ink. I sprinkled on some copper embossing powder and heat set it.
With my sentiment on the background of my card base, I sponged some mustard yellow ink lightly over the center of the sentiment area so that my sentiment wouldn’t stand out so much against the white background of my card base.
Next, I used the Dare 2B Artzy Fall Leaves dies and cut all of the small dies in the set out of some matte gold cardstock and some metallic green card stock. I love these leaves and they look just gorgeous cut from the different metallic card stocks. I set all my leaves aside.
Finally, I was ready to assemble the shaker. I glued my die cut Fall Harvest paper to the maple leave shaker pouch.
I filled up my shaker pouch with the die cut Dare 2B Artzy leaves, some gold and green sequins.
Finally I was ready to adhere my card base to the card front and shaker pouch. I used some liquid glue to make sure I had a good seal all around the shaker pouch before adding my card base to it.
I wanted to add some additional color to the front of the shaker, so I die cut one of the blue leaves from the Fall Harvest Collection paper and added it to the front of the shaker with some dimensional foam.
I also colored up the adorable fox from the Dare 2B Artzy Foxy Greetings stamp set using my Copic markers and added it with the leaf to the front of the shaker card.
For a finishing touch I used a gold shimmer pen and added some gold accents to some of the leaves on my background as well as to the blue leaf and fox on my card front.
Finally I added some gold dot embellishments to my card front to finish it.
I love the new Dare 2B Artzy fall line. All of the gorgeous Harvest Collection papers and the coordinating leaf dies mean that putting together a fun card for fall is quick and easy!
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. Be sure to check out and participate in our September Card Challenge of the month which is the Favorite Color challenge!
