Hello there, Carrie Rhoades here. I am excited to be sharing with you a new set that Dare 2B Artzy will soon be releasing and is now available for Pre-Order! It is the Crazy 4 Cocoa set. I fell in love with this stamp set when I saw the little marshmallow man taking a soak in the cup of cocoa. It’s funny and oh so cute. I also love the smaller images in this set as well as the many choices of punny sentiments. Let’s take a look at the card I made with this new set.
Isn’t that marshmallow man too cute! For this card I wanted to make the cocoa the star so I made an ink blended background to give it more of a cocoa feel. I started out with a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock that measures 8-1/4″ x 3-1/2″, to match the size of my snowflake die cut. I then ink blended on some Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink. Then I spritzed that with water for an awesome oxidized effect. Next, I used Walnut Stain Distress ink to splatter on some darker drops of ink. For the last layer of my splatter I used some thinned down white acrylic paint. The splatter for both of these layers is very fine and subtle which is what I wanted for this card.
I colored up my images using Copic Markers, this image is easy to color and so fun to bring to life with different color combinations. You can see here that once the card was all done I added some Diamond Stickles for a glittery look to may marshmallows and candy cane.
I used my favorite slimline border die from Dare 2B Artzy, the Slimline Snowflake die as a fun wintery background for my cocoa cup. In that die set there is also a single snowflake die, that I used around my sentiment. The smaller snowflake is a fall out piece from the die cut border that I colored with my Copic Markers to match my cup.
Speaking of the sentiment, I just love this one. It makes this card perfect to cheer up a friend! Remember you can Pre-Order your Crazy 4 Cocoa stamp set now, as well as the coordinating die set.
Thank you so much for stopping by the Dare 2B Artzy Blog and letting me share my creation with you! I hope you have a fabulous day.
Happy Stamping,
Carrie Rhoades
