Hello there, Carrie Rhoades here, back with another card featuring the all new Crazy 4 Cocoa stamp set. For this card I wanted to make a shaker card, because they are my all time favorite card to make and why not combine that with my new fave, a slimline card.
I thought it would be fun to have three shaker windows and each one have a different shaker element in it the would match that cup of cocoa.
I started by using a few snowflake images from the Just Chillin’ stamp set on to my white slimline panel around the circles I die cut. I used clear pigment ink and embossed them with a clear powder that has glitter in it.
I colored each of my cocoa cups with two colors of each, two pinks, two blues and two greens. Some very simple Copic coloring. The pinks I used are RV13 and RV21. The blues I used are B01 and B02. The greens are YG11 and YG13. For the cocoa, I wanted a lighter cocoa since I was using lighter colors so I used E23, E13 and E11. I used N1 to add a little shadowing to my marshmallow man.
For my pink cup I used some peppermint candy shaker elements and pink seed beads.
For my blue cup I decided I wanted to have the shaker bits match the cocoa, so I used a brown sequin mix.
For the green cup I used clay snowflake bits and clear seed beads to coordinate with the marshmallow man.
I had so much fun pulling out all the different shaker elements I had on hand to see what I could pair together for this shaker card.
I popped up some marshmallows around the windows for an added embellishment. I added a bit of Nuvo Drops in White Blizzard to them to give them a bit of a glittery highlight.
I added a 1″ strip of brown card stock across the card for a background to adhere my sentiment too. I love how this card turned out and had so much fun making it. What a fun stamp set to play with. You can pre-order your Crazy 4 Cocoa stamp set here.
If you missed my last post here on the D2BA blog take a look at the other card I made with this set, also a slimline.
Thank you so much for stopping by the Dare 2B Artzy Blog. I will be back again soon with more Artzy ideas for you.
Happy Stamping,
Carrie Rhoades
