Hello there, Carrie Rhoades here again on the Dare 2B Artzy Blog. You may remember in the fall I used the Christmoose Stamp Set to make a fall birthday card. I loved how that card turned out so much that I wanted to make a Christmas, or should I say Christmoose, version of it.
I just LOVE the colors in this Snow Much Fun paper! It makes it so easy to create a card when have an inspiration, like the colors in this paper and CASing a card.
Here you can see the cards side by side. (They are actually the same size, one is just sitting higher than the other.) These cards measure 9″ x 8″ scored at 4″.
I changed the layout by moving my focal images to the bottom of the card. Instead of leaves falling, I have snowflakes falling. These darling snowflakes were die cut using the Slimline Snowflake Dies, which I have used so many times, love that die set!
Coloring in the puffy vest on this moose is one of my favorite things to color. I really could use a vest like this in my life! I use Copic Markers; R17, R29 and R39 for the vest. My moose is sitting on a die cut circle, I point that out because I just love the piercing around the edge, it is delicate but gives the circle some great interest. AND, the Double Dot Circle dies also leave a pierced borer around the outside of the circle the cut out, so you have another die cut element you can use when you die cut out your circle. That is super cool!
I did not forget about the inside of the card…
I pulled out my new Crazy for Cocoa stamp set for these sentiments. I also added a little pocket for a gift card. The pocket measures 3-3/4″ x 2-3/4″. I added double stick tape to the sides and bottom of the paper and then adhered it to the inside of the card. Here’s a little tip for adhering pockets like this; add two layer of double stick tape to give the paper a slight lift off the card making it a little easier to get the gift card in and out of the pocket.
I thank you so much for stopping by the Dare 2B Artzy Blog and I hope you are able to have time in the holiday season to get Artzy!
