The reason I bring up the 3D Holiday project hop is because the tags I am sharing with you today are a spin off from my 3D Snow globe project that I made for the hop. I found a wooden snow globe at the dollar store and did a little DIY make over on it. For that make over I traced the base of the globe so I could cut out paper to cover it. When tracing it I had the idea that I could trace the entire snow globe and make some tags, or ornaments, or cards. In the end I went with the tags, because I already wanted to make some tags for some special puppy gifts using the Christmas Puppy Stamp set. And who doesn’t want a snow globe with their puppy in it?!?
I traced the entire snow globe onto white card stock and cut it out with scissors, it had the fun and excitement of creating a Christmas project in elementary school that you thought was amazing and you couldn’t wait to surprise your parents with it. I guess I have always loved paper crafts! I also traced just the base portion so I could put that on in a different color. I picked two of my favorite Snow Much Fun patterned papers and die cut the largest circle from the Double Dot Circle die set to go on top of the globes.
This little puppy is my baby dog, Toby. He is a cockapoo and I wanted to color him to look just like Toby for the fun Christmas box I have for him.
For all my coloring I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers for a more watercolored look. I added some antlers and a red nose to him from the Christmas Puppy Stamp set. I love that the die set for this stamp set can also be used for the Puppy Kisses Stamp Set.
This little puppy is meant to be Harley, my in-laws dog. They got him a week before we got our dog so they have been best friends since the day Toby came home to live with us. I thought this dark gray/black puppy looked really good on this blue snowflake print.
With both of my puppies I added a bit of glaze to their noses for some shine. I also added some Diamond Stickles around the patterned paper circle for a glittery snowy feel. And each got a bit os bling added to them.
I stamped and embossed the same sentiment, May you Holidays be Furry & Bright on both snow globes, perfect for these tags. I also added some line detail around the image giving the base a bit of a wooden look.
To turn these globes into tags I use punched a hole in the top and added some twine. I am excited to attach these to the furry baby gifts for Christmas!

Happy Stamping,
Carrie Rhoades
