Christmas Owl

Here is another card to get you
thinking about your Christmas cards!

I am using my new Dare 2B Artzy “Owl Be Home 4 Christmas” owl stamp set along with the new owl die cut to match.  You will want to order this one soon so you have time to make your Christmas cards and gift tags.

This card is entered in three SCS challenges:
SC462 Sketch Challenge – This is a fun sketch with lots of layers. The final size of my card is 4.5×4.5.

CC452 Color Challenge –  We had to chose from 4 shades of teal/blue and grey.  I used the same colors in my last post. I love these for Christmas because it is different then the expected red and green.

TLC455 Technique/Paper Piecing – I have not used this technique very often so I really wanted to try it here. I really like the way the scarf turned out and because I used it on his head and feet it looks like he is wearing matching hat and boots!   I stamped our owl on teal paper, white paper and grey patterned paper.   I used the Dare 2B Artzy die cut on the teal and grey papers then cut out the grey pieces to glue to the teal owl. I used a 5/8” circle punch for the eyes.
