Happy Monday! I am popping in today to share a bright floral card featuring the Breezy Blossoms stamp set. I cannot get enough of this stamp set.
Today I decided to use my solid hot foil plate to hot foil the die cut florals from the Breezy Blossoms. I cut the dies from Hammermill 100lb Copy Cover weight.
I cut down three pieces of the Rainbow hot foil from Spellbinders and placed it pretty side to my hot foil plate. I placed the die cut flowers on top of the foil and added shims and my top plate for my Spellbinders Glimmer. I let them heat up and then ran them through my die cutting machine.
The result was perfectly foiled dies.
Using the coordinating stamp, I stamped, and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing powder onto a piece of vellum and then cut the embossed flowers out with the coordinating dies.
To add adhesive to the vellum I ran each of the flowers through my Xyron sticker creator and then burnished the images before removing them from the adhesive backer.
Next, I added the adhesive backed vellum to my foiled die cut silhouettes. Once my vellum was adhered, I used a bone folder with a pointed end to burnish the vellum well which helped bring out the color behind the vellum. I added a bit of aqua shimmer pen in gold to the flowers.
To create my card, I created an A2 card base from 110lb cardstock. I also cut a piece of the Midnight Garden down to A2 size and then used the Dare 2B Artzy Wavy Slimline border die to cut the right edge of the cardstock off. This created a decorative border along the right edge.
I cut a second piece of iridescent cardstock to be a touch wider using the same Wavy Slimline border die. This allowed a bit of the iridescent cardstock to peek out from the edge.
I added the flowers along the edge of the wavy border with a bit of liquid glue.
For my sentiment, I used the Hello word die and shadow. I cut the shadow from white cardstock and then cut the Hello in a dark blue and a lighter blue. I used the darker blue to create a bit of a shadow by offsetting it a bit behind the lighter blue and then adhering them together with liquid glue and then adding them to the white shadow layer.
The sentiment was added to my card panel horizontally just above my flowers with some dimensional foam.
On the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment, “You are Blooming Amazing” from the Breezy Blossoms stamp set.
That wraps up my card for today. Hope you are inspired to create some fun cards with the new Breezy Blossoms Stamp set from Dare 2B Artzy.
I have linked all the products used in today’s card at no cost to you.
Hugs,
Tonya
