Happy Friday!
Have you been making cards that you never in your entire life thought you would be making?!!! I definitely never thought I would be making cards that included social distancing, face masks, and toilet paper, but here I am! Luckily, Dare 2B Artzy has come out with an adorable set that brings a smile to my face during these tough times!
I began these cards by gluing strips of card stock to printer paper. These strips became the background for my images from the Dare 2B Artzy Bear Hugs Stamp Set! There was something oddly calming about mindlessly gluing these rainbow colored strips to the copy paper!
For this card, I chose to die cut the Circle Background Die from white card stock and adhere it to my card base. The images were then colored with Copic Markers and die cut using the Bear Hug Dies. The sentiment and the 6ft. social distancing reminder are all stamped with D2BA’s Totally Black Ink. The hearts are included in the Bear Hug Dies!
For the second card, I die cut two of the trellises from the D2BA Trellis Background Die. After adhering one of them to the card base, I turned the second one 180 degrees and glued it over the top of the first trellis. This technique allows the trellis image from the first die cut to show through the openings and gives a little more texture to the card front. Speaking of texture, I decided to try Jennifer McGuire’s idea and emboss the trellis on my striped card stock heart! I think I like it! There are face mask stamps included in the Bear Hugs Stamp Set, but for this card, I just used the masks from the coordinating Bear Hug Dies to add the masks to the bears.
As you can tell, I am on a roll with Dare 2B Artzy Background Dies! The background for this card was die cut from the Wacky Box Background Die! The circles were die cut using the Circle Framelits Die. The images and sentiment are also from the Bear Hugs Stamp Set!
When I finished the cards, I decided I wanted to add a little something extra to the envelopes! If you haven’t seen the Thinking of You Stamp Set from The Stamping Village, you really need to check it out! There are fabulous images from all twelve companies in The Stamping Village, and they can be used to create cards as well as decorate envelopes! If you love D2BA stamps like I do, you will definitely recognize the adorable little bee!
Please don’t forget about entering this month’s challenge on the D2BA blog! You can enter HERE for a chance to win a $15 gift card!
Happy stamping!
