Happy Monday, Stampers!
It’s Melody, and I hope today finds you all well and safe. My butterfly cards are dedicated to all those who have found themselves in the path of a hurricane or near out of control wildfires. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
The Dare 2B Artzy Challenge this month is to make shaped cards. While these cards are rectangular, the fronts have been fussy cut to highlight the butterflies and provide a peek at the patterned paper adhered to the card base.
I began by creating masks for the butterflies from the Butterfly Inspiration set. I then stamped the butterflies along the edge of my card base with Totally Black Ink. Using the masks, I was able to overlap the butterflies as desired. I then colored the butterflies with Copic markers.
I used the following Copic combinations: (R43, R14, R24), (BG13, BG05, BG09), (C1, C3, C4), (Y11, Y17, YR16), and (YG13, G43, G02).
Highlights were added with Wink of Stella and Sakura Glaze pens. Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss White were also utilized on the card above.
I hope you will join in the fun of the Ship Shape Challenge! Be sure to link up your creations here for a chance to win a Dare 2B Artzy stamp set and ink pad of your choice!
Happy stamping!
Melody
