Watercolor Thank You Card

Hi, Dare 2B Artzy friends!

Tasha here from CraftyPinkPixie.com sharing a colorful watercolor Thank You card created with the Find Your Purpose and Happiness Blooms stamp sets.

The pattern was created by stamping one large flower multiple times with black D2BA ink. The images were painted with watercolor and I layered metallic shimmer watercolor on top. The centers were painted solid black and I used white gel pen to embellish. I love this sunflower design!

To create this layered look, I cut the center from the card and layered it on pink paper. I think this looks awesome and the pink coordinates perfectly with the bright yellow flowers!

For the sentiment, I used the “Thanks” stamp from the Happiness Blooms set. Since this card has a large pattern, I wanted to keep the sentiment simple. To do this, I embossed the word in white on black cardstock and cut one end to create a banner. The black and white color combination is perfect next to all the pops of color!

To complete the card, I painted the background in a metallic shimmery blue. This color is one of my favorites and gives a sky-like appearance. Lastly, a base was created with yellow textured cardstock and the inside was left blank to allow a handwritten message.
