Thank You using Pantone Colors of the Year

Hi there Artzy family! Happy New Year! One of my favorite types of card to create is Thank You cards. You can never have too many thank yous!

I thought I would create a Thank You card combined with the Pantone Colors of the year which are Illuminating (lemon yellow) and Ultimate Gray.

I started out with the Dare 2B Artzy Sunburst stencil. I ink blended distress oxide inks through the stencil onto my white cardstock. I had a little bit of ink left over on my mat and I spritzed that with water and splattered that ink over my card panel. I also splattered a little bit of metallic watercolors.

Next, I stamped the flower image from the Totally Tiffany Be Bold stamp set with antique linen distress ink. I used this to get a “no-line” look. I then water colored the image in gray using water based markers.

I cut out the flower image and popped it up on my card panel using foam dots. I then die cut the Mini Thanks die with some gray cardstock three times. I layered all three thanks words on top of each other, adding adhesive between the layers. This was then adhered to the card panel.

I trimmed the card panel about 1/8” and then adhered this to a gray 4 ¼ x 5 ½ piece of cardstock. I then adhered this to a white card base.

I completed the card by adding a few enamel dots in yellow and grey. I like the simple muted look of this Thank You card, and I hope you do too!
