Hello and Happy Wednesday! Tonya from Krafty Enchantments again. Hope everyone’s having a spectacular day & getting in some much needed crafting time!
I’m back with another card today for Dare 2B Artzy. I’m sticking with my spring theme and playing with that Raggity Rabbit stamp set again. I cannot get enough of this adorable bunny. I still want to petition the powers that be at Dare 2B Artzy to make a stuffed version of this bunny – he’s just that cute that he needs to be hugged.
Today’s card is sort of simple, but sometimes those are the best kinds of cards. I like to take time in my coloring and let my mind wander as I’m coloring. It’s very cathartic to just be in the moment and enjoy making something with your hands.
To start I stamped Mr. Raggity Rabbit with some Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink onto some Neenah Solar White Cardstock. I also stamped the basket with the pretty flowers right next to him.
I colored my bunny to be a sort of crème & tan colored with a hint of peach on his nose and ears. I used the tip of my Copic marker to create the little dots of ink for added texture for his fur. I really like the effect is has.
Once my bunny was colored I quickly colored the basket and flowers using some bright blue-green and yellow colors.
With my bunny and basket of flowers colored, I die cut the whole image with a large scalloped rectangle.
I die cut a large fishtail flag from some bright yellow cardstock and cut a smaller fishtail flag from some bright green colored burlap that I had.
Next I stamped the sentiment, Some Bunny Loves You in some black ink and used a half-circle diet to cut it out. I sponged on some light blue ink around the edges of the half-circle. I cut a second half-circle from a bright green cardstock. I glued them together at an offset angle so you could see the bright green cardstock underneath.
Finally, I layered some blue cardstock and blue plaid cardstock on my background and layered in the fishtail flags so they hung off the edge of the card and placed my colored bunny and basket on the top layer. I added the sentiment in the corner at a bit of an angle.
It’s a very simple, but fun card to make and the bright colors are so cheery.
Hope you enjoyed today’s card. Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Tonya
