Hi, everyone! Cassie back today to share another card I made as a guest designer for Dare 2B Artzy! Today’s card is bright and fun and I’m looking forward to share it with you! Let’s jump right in!
I used the Spit Happens stamp set to create this card today. It is such a cute set! I stamped out the main image, the llama, and colored him in with my Copic markers. I went with bright fun colors, but you could do holiday colors and make this a Christmas card too! I used the coordinating dies to cut it out.
Next, I die cut a scalloped rectangle die that I have from some jungle green card stock. I masked off the area past the stitched part, and stamped the cactus in VersaMark ink for a tone on tone look. I took the masks off and splattered some gold water color over the die cut piece. I knew I was going to do some heat embossing in gold, so I wanted a little more gold accent to tie it all in.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the set in VersaMark on some vellum and heat embossed the gold embossing powder like I just mentioned. I trimmed it down and added glue to where the embossed letter were to hide it and adhered it down. The llama was popped up with foam tape, and the scalloped rectangle was adhered straight to a card base. And that finished off my card! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed the card I created. I just love the way it turned out and I can’t get enough of the little llama and those cute cacti! I hope you all have a great day, and I’ll see you again soon with another card!
