Hi, everyone! It’s a bittersweet day, because I get to show you a fun card I made for Dare 2B Artzy, but it’s also my final day as a guest designer for them! I’ve had so much fun making some projects for them this month and I hope you’ve enjoyed it as well! Thanks so much to everyone at Dare 2B Artzy for having me!!
Let’s take a look at the card I made for today.
I started today’s card by using my metallic water colors to create this rainbow watercolor background. I love how this turned out in the end! There were a couple points while creating this piece where I didn’t think it was going to work, but I just kept adding layers and eventually I was happy with it. It’s a great reminder to see things through to the end, because it can make a world of difference. I splattered some white paint over the piece was it was dry and set it aside.
I stamped out a bunch of the little bees from the Bee-utiful stamp set and colored them in with my Copics. Then I fussy cut them out. For the sentiment I stamped one from the set in black VersaFine ink and heat embossed clear embossing powder over it. I trimmed the piece down with my paper trimmer.
I created a frame for my pieces using some stitched rectangles, and started putting everything together! The sentiment was popped up with foam tape in the center. All of the bees were adhered with glue just down the bodies of them and then I bent the wings up for some dimension. I also added some black Nuvo drops for a fun touch.
And that’s it for my card! I hope you enjoyed it. I had fun making it
Thank you again to the awesome Dare 2B Artzy crew for having me!! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
