Hi there D2BA family! I’m back today to share my first Christmas card of the year. Besides it being one of the hottest summers on record in Arizona, usually I’m one of those “it’s got to be November to make Christmas cards” kind of gals but I couldn’t resist creating a card with this adorable Reindeer Games stamp and die set. It’s hard not to smile looking at these reindeer images, right?! I mean really it’s kind of hard not to smile when a reindeer is looking at you with their tongue sticking out!
I chose to use a slimline style card today, mainly so that I could fit two adorable reindeer on a card front instead of just one. Since a #10 size envelope is 9 ½ x 4 1/8 I chose to cut the Chocolate Moose and Frosty Chalet pattern papers to a size of 8 ½ x 3 ¼.. My card base is sized at 8 ¾ x 3 ½ . With the exception of the square window cut outs, I cut all pieces by measuring and using my handy dandy paper trimmer.
I colored my cute little reindeer images using water based markers and a watercolor brush and used the coordinating die to cut them out. To finish the card off, I popped the frame that I created up with some foam tape, added a little sparkle and that was it!
I love that D2BA thinks of everything and with the coordinating paper, stamps and dies it’s just so fun and easy to create cards!
