Janette here coming to you with a Easter candy hangover!! Tell me I’m not alone, gah!

Today, I am sharing a card created with the D2BA Love is in the Air stamp set and colored pencils.

I love this sentiment not only for what it says, but because with it I can use a myriad of sentiments on the inside for versatility. I began by stamping the image in Sunset Yellow D2BA Premium Ink so that the outline could easily be disguised under color. I did use a sticky note to mask so that I did not over stamp the image that, in the end, looks as though it is in front.  The sentiment was then stamped in Totally Black D2BA Premium Ink.

Next, I broke out the Prismacolor Premium colored pencils for this no-line look card. I love the texture that pencils offer on a rough surface, paper with tooth. The most important step, for me, with colored pencils is dark and light. The shadows must be deep. The closer to black the better. And the lights must be bright, preferably white.

Finally, I trimmed down this A2 card just a smidge so that I could add a strip of houndstooth accent paper and popped on a few sparklers.
