Good Monday morning! It’s Melody, and I hope this is the start of a BEEutiful week for you!
If you enjoy making clean and simple cards, I have just the card (or cards) for you today!
I began this card by adhering a piece of Bizzy Blooms paper to my card front making sure my adhesive was around the edges of the card. Bizzy Blooms is part of the Honey Bloomz Collection by Dare 2B Artzy. Next, I cut through both layers of my card front with the fourth largest circle from the Circle Framelits.
A frame for the circle on the card front was created by layering the fourth and second largest circles on white card stock. A piece of acetate was cut using the second largest circle. The acetate was adhered over the opening in the card front, and the frame was adhered over the acetate.
A fun feature of many Dare 2B Artzy stamps, dies, and papers is that several of the dies are sized to cut images directly from the patterned paper! I used the BEEutiful die set to cut the bees directly from the Artzy Blooms paper. I adhered three of the bees to the card front.
Since the bees are symmetrical, I could adhere three bees to the inside of the card covering the exposed parts of the bees from the front of the card.
A yellow circle was die cut, stamped with a sentiment from the BEEutiful stamp set, and adhered to the inside of the card.
Since I am on a clean and simple card kick today, here is one more card created with the Honey Bloomz paper collection!
This card features a flower and sentiment from the Shine stamp set. The flower was embossed with white embossing powder and quickly colored using Color Bursts. The image was die cut using the Shine Die set. The die was also used to cut the image out of white card stock so it could be layered behind the flower.
I would love to see your clean and simple Dare 2B Artzy cards on Instagram! Use the hashtag #dare2bartzy so we can see your amazing creations!
Happy stamping!
Melody
