This is Georgiana from Carson’s Creations and I have the honor of being Guest Designer this month at Dare 2B Artzy. A little about me…I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two children and a dog. Both my husband and I work in the education field. I work with elementary students and my husband just recently moved from being a principal to Employee Relations. I have been seriously crafting/blogging for the past 8 years, but always dabbled while growing up. My grandmother and I were always trying something ~ making chocolates, painting ceramics, designing flower arrangements, creating hair bows, sewing dresses, or whatever might have been the newest fad. It was always just about doing it together and having fun. Crafting is still the same…sharing with each other and enjoying the time.
Today’s Guest Designer Project…
I just recently found these stamps and I am so happy I did. They are so pretty and the sentiments are lovely. Be sure to visit the shop today and see for yourself!
First, I stamped the butterfly from theDare 2B Artzy ~ Butterfly Inspirations set with Versafine Black Onyx ink and sprinkled the outline with clear embossing powder before heat embossing it. Then, I used Yasutomo metallic watercolors to paint the butterfly. The embossed lines keeps the paint from running into the different sections. Lastly, I cut a scalloped circle which would allow my butterfly to be used as the focal point.
The stamped sentiment is from the same stamp set. I heat embossed it to give it a bit of dimension. Isn’t it a beautiful saying?
I used 110lb black cardstock for the cardbase and then cut a scalloped rectangle to coordinate with the scallop circle. I found a piece of pretty pattern paper that matched the color of the butterfly’s wings. The final touch was adding black gems in the opposite corners.
Thanks so much Cindy and Kendra for allowing me to be Guest Designer this month. Looking forward to next’s week project.
