Creating Layers with Pattern Paper

Hi there Artzy family! I’m here today sharing a fun, layered Fall card. I don’t know about you, but I’m really ready to jump into Fall and enjoy some cooler weather!

For today’s card I will be using the D2BA sentiment stamp set Well Wishes. Along with this stamp set, I will be using the beautiful pattern paper from the Fall Harvest Collection. There is also a coordinating Leaf die that you can use to cut out all of the leaves in the pattern paper.

To get started, I am using a white card panel cut to 4 ¼ X 5 ½. I first cut out all of my beautiful leaves and then cut two strips of the pattern paper. Next, I created a white circle which I will use to adhere all of my pattern paper leaves. But, first I wanted to dress up my leaves and added some gold accents using embossing powder. Now, I will adhere all of the leaves onto the white circle. I use my fingers to curl some of the leaves so that they are more dimensional. I add several layers of leaves on top of each other using foam strips.

Once that is completed, I adhere my two strips of pattern paper to the right and left sides of the card panel leaving an open, white space in the center. The sentiment is created by die cutting a circle and distressing with ink. The sentiment is then placed into the center of the leaves. Next, I adhere the dimensional leaves to the card panel. To finish everything off, I add lots of gold and white splatter along with some enamel dots in various sizes and colors.
