Happy Sunday D2BA Friends!!
We have a pretty card to share with you today from this month’s GDT Tracie!!

Today I am sharing with you a card I created for the Dare 2B Artzy April Challenge – Pastel Colors. I used the super fun Flower Corner Stencil for the background and the Shine Stamp Set for the sentiment. I absolutely love stencils. They take up little storage space, they have a good price point and there are endless techniques you can use stencils for.
Lately I have been hooked on using stencils to dry emboss my backgrounds. It adds such beautiful, subtle texture. Often I leave it tone on tone. But this time I decided to ink blend a fun pastel “ray of ” rainbow over the embossed pattern. It was quite easy. I just used a scrap piece of cardstock for the edge and kept moving it forward to the next section. As you can see, I left a little bit of white between the sections to add a little more visual interest.
The rainbow panel is adhered to a light purple panel and then adhered to the card base. The sentiment is stamped in black on white cardstock. (This is a good way to use up your scraps.) I popped the sentiment up a little with some foam adhesive tape. Finally, I added some grey Nuvo Crystal Drops to the centers of the flowers.
I am looking forward to seeing your creations in the Dare 2B Artsy Pastel Colors Challenge.
Crafty Hugs,
Tracie
