Artzy Birthday Wishes

Welcome Dare 2B Artzy fans!!  Karen N here from Craftily Yours!

It’s my BIRTHDAY month!  I love my BIRTHDAY month as I spend all month thinking about how I’m a year closer to retirement when I can CRAFT more!  I really do love my job, but I love crafting MORE.  Dare 2B Artzy Challenge this month is all about birthdays.  Yay me!  It’s like a whole month of birthday inspiration!  Here’s what I made:

 

I used Dare 2B Artzy, Artzy Doodles paper along with the fun filled stamp and die set, Birthday Balloons with Dies.  I stamped the balloons and string with Dare 2B Artzy Premium Ink in Totally Black.  When I lined up the string, I got it as close as possible and then drew the little bit of gap with a Copic Multi-liner pen.  Then, I stamped in the color for the balloons using Dare 2B Artzy Premium Ink in Bright Pumpkin and Sunset Yellow.  The very front balloons had white stars, but I wanted them to be yellow, so I colored them in with a Copic Y18 marker.  Love how this ink doesn’t smear on the edges with alcohol markers!

A little bit of doily and some twine and pearls really finished off the card.  The flower is fussy cut from the Artzy Doodles Paper and layered up.  LoVe LovE LoVe this bright set.  I don’t have a recipient for it yet, but my hubs usually shops for a birthday card for me in my stash….so I’ll make sure to leave it on top for him to find!  Ha!
