Good morning & happy Monday! It’s Tonya from Krafty Enchantments. It’s the start of a new week and I have a new card to share.
As crafters, sometimes it can be difficult to find the time to create cards. Let’s face it coloring, painting, die cutting, etc. all takes time to bring a card together. The awesome thing about Dare 2B Artzy’s products is that you can quickly pull a card together with no coloring.
Dare 2B Artzy has several paper lines that coordinate beautifully with their stamps and dies, but did you know that you can use the die to cut out the paper? Yep! The images on the paper are designed to coordinate with the dies to make quick and easy cards or scrapbook layouts. It’s so awesome.
My card today demonstrates how easy it is to create a card with just paper elements from Dare 2B Artzy.
I used the dies for the Raccoon Party in conjunction with the Ice Cream Bandit paper and die cut two of the adorable raccoons from the paper. I also cut two additional raccoon silhouettes from some plain white cardstock.
While it’s not necessary, you could add some additional detail and shading to the raccoons with some colored pencils as I did with these. I added some shading to the raccoons using my Schpirerr Farben colored pencils. It’s a nice way to add some additional depth to the little critters.
Once colored, I used some liquid glue to adhere the raccoons to the additional cardstock silhouettes I cut from some heavy weight cardstock. This just gives them some dimension.
The rest of the card background was simply cutting some sheets of pierced slimline rectangles. I cut one piece of Banner Day paper and one piece of vellum to the same size which is 3 ¼ x 7 7/8.
Next, I cut the polka dot paper from the back of the Artzy Daisy (green polka dots) and Water Me (teal polka dots) papers as well as a piece of the Scoops of Thanks paper using the 2nd largest pierced rectangle slimline die from the Slimline Love Framelets. I also cut a piece of plain green cardstock from my stash.
Finally, I used the Curved and Scalloped Slimline border dies to create a little fringed awning of sorts for the top of my card panel.
For the sentiment, I stamped and heat embossed the Anything is Popsicle sentiment and heat embossed it with some Hero Arts Blue embossing powder. I die cut the sentiment with the Fishtail Flag banner which also comes with Curve Slimline set as well. I cut a 2nd Fishtail Flag from some matte silver cardstock and added it behind the sentiment with it peeking out on one side.
All of my layers were adhered to my slimline panel with some score tape at the top and bottom and added to the card base with some dimensional foam.
As a final touch, I added some pink and yellow gems for just a touch of sparkle.
It was a super easy card to put together with the help of the awesome Dare 2B Artzy scrapbook papers. I hope that you’ll check out all of the awesome scrapbook papers from Dare 2B Artzy. Make sure to check out the coordinating stamps and dies as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a crafty week!
Hugs,
Tonya
