Ah…Summertime, Summertime!

Hi, Friends!  It’s Melody from Handmade Card Happiness and Instagram.
I hope you are getting a little time to relax this summer!  Just looking at this tranquil little scene puts me in a better state of mind!

This easel card was created using two stamp sets from Dare 2B Artzy, Shine On and Flip Flops.
I began by stamping the lighthouse and the flip flops with Totally Black ink.  They were colored with the following Copic markers:
Lighthouse E30, E31,E23
BG01, B02, B05
R14, R37
C1, C3, C5
Flip Flops B00, B21, B24
BG05, BG13
R14

The background was created with Vintage Photo, Faded Jeans, Fossilized Amber, and Broken China Distress Oxides.  A few splashes of water, and I was ready to dry the background and stamp the birds and the sentiment.  After cutting out the lighthouse and flip flops with the coordinating dies, I popped up the lighthouse and flip flops with foam tape.  The dimension on the flip flops provides the easel card with the mechanism to stand up.
