Hi again! I’m Vickie Y and excited to share another card as the April guest designer.
Last week I mentioned in my intro that I live in a resort town. Our town is situated between two man-made recreational lakes. Growing up we spent a lot of time playing, waterskiing, and boating on each lake. When I saw the Live Love Lake stampset I knew it would provide lots of special memories and creative FUN!
For my card, I used one of my favorite watercolor background techniques using an acrylic block, inks, and a water spray bottle, along with watercolor cardstock.
I used the D2BATropicalInk Cubes to ink up the acrylic block (see below), then spritzed it with water, and smooshed it down onto the watercolor cardstock and let it sit for a minute or two before lifting it. I let the cardstock air dry (a heat tool can be used to speed up the drying process).
Once the ink was dry, I trimmed the panel and then used the Dare 2BArtzyTotallyBlackPremiumink to stamp the images and sentiment. I layered the stamped panel over the Dare 2B Artzy Slate designer paper from the D2BA DoodlesVarietyPaperPack and dark blue card base.

I have since picked up some additional tips from Cindy Sartain’s recent virtual event where she made an adorable shadow box card too! Whenever I try a new-to-me...
Hello Artzy friends! I hope this post finds you well! Mother’s Day will soon be here and I’m doing my best to get my cards out earlier, this year. How about you? Today’s card project is using the Honey Bunny Stamp Set [with a matching die]. Starting with cutting and folding an A2 standard size...
