A Sweet (caffeinated) Hello

Hello Artzy friends! It’s Tonya and I’m popping in today with a fun card featuring some awesome new Dare 2B Artzy products.

I was so excited to get to play with the new coffee themed stamps just released from Dare 2B Artzy. There are 2 new coffee stamp sets; Latte Love and Be Frappe as well as a Frappe & Donut coordinating die set which is currently available for pre-order.  These stamps have lots of fun images, a cool word collage background and lots of great sentiments.

The other exciting release is the new Slim Mini Wavy Layers die set. This will make mini-slimline cards. If you are intimidated by all of the “real-estate” on a standard slimline card, I highly recommend the mini-slimline as it is a smaller area for designs. Mini slimline measures 3 ¼ x 6 ¼ compared to a standard Slimline card which measures 3 ½ x 8 ½.

For my card I used the Slim Mini Wavy Layers die set. I cut some off-white cardstock with the largest stitched rectangle. I cut a second piece of dark brown cardstock with the mini wavy slimline die.

I placed the die cut wavy piece of cardstock in my MISTI and used the word collage stamp set from the Latte Love stamp set. I stamped the coffee collage with my Versamark embossing ink and then brushed on some Perfect Pearls powder to create a shimmery background. I set the background by giving it a light mist of water and allowed it to dry.

Next, I stamped the Coffee Cup and lid from Latte Love and the Frappe cup and coordinating whipped lid with some Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink which is alcohol marker friendly.  I colored the coffee with my Chroma Flagship markers and used the coordinating dies to cut the images out.

As an afterthought, I also stamped the cute little donut from the Be Frappe set and colored it up. I gave it some pink frosting to coordinate with my decorated coffee cup.  I really loved coloring the little donut for some reason, LOL!

I used the coordinating die set to die cut the donut as well. The die is amazing; it cuts the little hole in the donut center. How cool is that?

When I was finished coloring and die cutting, I used a bit of Glossy Accents to add some shine to the donut frosting and also to the dome on my frappe cup.

To add a touch of shimmer to the coffee cup, I added some Tonic clear shimmer pen to some of the colored circles.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Sending You a Sweet Hello from the Be Frappe stamp set with black ink and heat embossed it on pink cardstock with clear embossing powder.  I used the smallest banner strip from the Slim Mini Wavy Layers die set to die cut the embossed sentiment.

To give it a touch of bling, I added some pink pearls to the card front with some liquid adhesive.

I popped up the layers for the card with some dimensional foam and added to a slimline card base.

This mini slimline card came together so quickly using the new Dare 2B Artzy coffee stamps and coordinating dies as well as the Slim Mini Wavy Layers die set. It’s such a fun size and would be perfect for adding a gift card for a friend.
