Karen N here today! When I started to craft, I only did some very simple scrapbooks. A wonderful woman named, Sharon, who runs a small shop and class in Sacramento, CA, got me totally and completely hooked on many other styles of paper-crafting. Every 6 weeks, she teaches a series of courses that I’ve been taking for about 10 years. Sharon is one of my dearest friends, my crafty mentor and my second mom. (My fabulous mother and Sharon are BFFs!) Anyway, Sharon has recently decided to carry and teach Dare 2B Artzy in her classes. I was SO THRILLED! Today, I’m highlighting the most recent creation she taught using Dare 2B Artzy Quilted Turtle. Sharon is amazing at putting together fun folds for her cards like this one:
The card folks very flat for mailing. It clasps close with the cute heart and then just the panel with the turtle lifts for the sentiment. Very cool. She taught us to color in the shell with the stamps from the set using some distress inks. Since they are clear stamps, it’s pretty easy to line them up. (I used this technique in another card coming up later this week.)
If you are ever in the Sacramento area and are interested in taking a fun-filled class of learning and playing, reach out to me on Facebook.
Thanks for stopping in! Be sure to enter the Dare 2B Artzy Birthday Challenge this month. YOU could win a fabulous prize!
Craftily yours,
Karen
